You can walk away from a medium-length CC dungeon with two new CC trinkets every time you clear his dungeon. The Guardian is a push-over, he's an absolute joke. It's so much more efficient to just rush to the boss and eliminate them, then farm the remaining CC trinkets from the Garden Guardian boss. I also made the mistake of clearing all the Courtyard maps, instead of just cheating and looking at a map. It's not good game design at all, and dissuades players like yourself from finishing the DLC. I used it as an opportunity to lock-in 3 positive quirks and eliminate all my negative quirks, but not everyone is going to be that patient or dedicated to DD. The Champion bosses were already dead, so that was just hours and hours of just grinding for the sake of grinding. Took me approximately 50+ weeks in total to grind out all those invitations, just to clear the CC content. In the time it has taken me to raise the infestation level after killing the Viscount, I could have easily finished the rest of the game before getting a single invitation to the Countess. Granted, I've been playing the base game long enough to have gotten pretty efficient at clearing it, so grinding an extra 20+ weeks like you said just feels like a bunch of busy work to me. JDPingree: I can tell you this much, I started a new campaign with the DLC and I STILL feel like it's too much of a grind.
